Chinese Soup
Chinese Soups as mentioned on previous pages used to be served after the meal
or during the meal instead of cold drinks or tea and coffee, however in recent years because of western influence the Chinese are now serving soup at the beginning of the meal in the majority of Chinese Restaurants.
Following is a simple and healthy recipe for Chinese Sweet Corn Soup
Chinese Sweet Corn Soup
Ingredients:
I medium tin of Creamed or non Creamed sweet Corn
(approx. 4-5 cups) Chicken Stock
2 lightly beaten eggs
2 tsp Fresh Parsley Chopped
Diced medium sized Onion
1 tsp corn starch
Directions:
Gently fry the onion with a little oil
 Add the chicken stock
Bring to boil and add the tin of sweet corn and cornstarch.
Before serving pour the beaten egg gently into the soup.
Serve with chopped parsley
serves 4-5 people.
